The new corporate identity of Zefxis

The Zefxis swan represents the expertise of our people and the elegance of our work.

From October 2009, Zefxis has changed its corporate identity. Our new image was designed from scratch to reflect the fresh and dynamic direction our company is taking, solidly instilled with an accumulated 10 years of experience.

Our new logo is infused with fresh energy and contemporary grace. A sky-blue paper swan, is now our representation. The Zefxis swan sybolises two different, but equally important, aspects of our work.

Elegance & Aesthetics

The first aspect is the swan itself. A swan is associated with elegance, beauty, perfection, attention to detail and balanced aesthetics. We believe our work is graceful, beautiful, elegant and harmoniously represented. We place great attention to detail and we are very, very, careful about our final designed product.  The swan represents us not only through our design approach but also through our overall work philosophy.

Technical Expertise

The second aspect relates to the material with which the swan is made: paper.  Our swan is the result of a handicraft made through the use of the Japanese art of Origami.  A plain sheet of paper, untouched by human hands, has no particular essence. However, if one works with it lovingly, meticulously, bending and twisting the right corners, something truly unique comes out.

Our work is exactly like that.  The tools of our trade are freely available to everyone.  The difference, however, comes to the way these tools, colours, shapes, code and text will be put to use. How they will be carefully combined to create a result that will be truly unique, especially crafted for a specific use.  All of these make up our collective expertise and knowledge.  The swan symbolises the collective knowledge of our people.

Origami

The design of the Zefxis swan was directly influenced by the famous traditional Japanese art of Origami (oru=folding, gami=paper).  By using one piece of paper, Origami artists create representations of objects using geometric folds and patterns without gluing or cutting the paper.

Origami has a finite number of different ways to fold a paper, but they can be combined to create a wide variety of unique and totally different designs. The principles of Origami affect us deeply, because they strongly resemble the way we work.  In a similar fashion, we also use a set of specific techniques.  When we combine those techniques, we produce exceptional results which always satisfy their goals.
