At Zefxis, we are well aware of the full spectrum of game creation, from design and development, to world-wide distribution. Total Eclipse specialises in game development for national and international markets, with both in-house and to-order productions.

Total Eclipse does not develop exclusively with a casual games direction. We also design and develop interactive Web games, single- or multi- player, which can form a major part of an advertising campaign. Games like those have as their purpose the promotion and awareness of products and services to prospective clients and are commonly known as advergaming.

Complete productions

A team involved in making a game is composed of producers, game designers, artists, software engineers, programmers, musicians, sound designers, level editors, voice talents, and more. Depending on the project’s scale, we delegate small or large teams composed of staff members located around the world.  We mainly develop games for PC, Mac, iPod/iPhone and Social Media sites (i.e. Facebook), but we do not limit ourselves there. We are always open to new development platforms and distribution/publishing models.

Advergaming and product marketing

Total Eclipse does not develop exclusively with a casual games direction.  We also design and develop interactive Web games, single- or multi- player, which can form a major part of an advertising campaign. The purpose of these games is to promote products and services to prospective clients. This gaming-focused viral-marketing approach is commonly known as advergaming.  It is a rising force in advertising, estimated to generate $312.2 million in 2009.  It is predicted that advertising will be a key factor in US gaming with revenue growing to $950 million in 2011.

A company might include advergaming into their marketing approach in a number of ways:

• Sponsorship: The company sponsors the game, but the product brand does not appear inside the game at all.
• Brand integration: The brand is prominent in the game but it acts in a decorative manner.
• Brand interaction: The brand not only features prominently but forms a part of the gameplay it self, the player interacts with the brand to move forward in the game.

Digital and retail distribution

For international games distribution, Total Eclipse collaborates with some of the most well-known companies in the field such as Real Games, Big Fish Games, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Shockwave, Reflexive, Zylom and Intenium.  Our in-house games are currently being sold online in a wide variety of game portals and electronic shops such as Amazon. We also have products in retail in major U.S. shops. All of our games are in English, while some of them have been localized in a variety of languages such as German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Dutch, and Portugese.
