The Clockwork Man
The Clockwork Man is the first Hidden Object/Adventure game and the fourth game overall produced by Total Eclipse, the game development subsidiary of Zefxis.
The player follows our heroine, Miranda, and Sprocket, her robot companion into a mysterious journey, helping her to uncover the secret behind the Clockwork Man. The rich story unfolds during the Victorian Era, in an alternate Steampunk universe.
The game brought a series of important innovations to the area of Hidden Object Games, since it was the first that used Parallax and Zoomable scenes, offering new dimensions of gameplay to the players. The game’s illustrations and artistry are some of the best produced worldwide in the casual games area and in games like this. The music, sound effects and the professionally-done voice-overs are of a similar high quality, reflecting the excellent work done by the Total Eclipse producers.
For the publishing side of The Clockwork Man we collaborated with Real Arcade, a subsidiary of Real Networks. Real Arcade is perhaps the largest publisher in the casual games industry. The game was a huge hit, making thousands of sales within a month of its release and remained in the Popular Games Top-10 of various gaming portals.
The Clockwork Man has been released in a total of 9 different languages (the Japanese localization is in the works), and is available both in an online digital download and a retail version (in U.S. and European shops).
