ECOSEP Website Design

ECOSEP (European College of Sports medicine and Exercise Physicians) is a Europe-wide medical society, an organisation targeting sports and exercise physicians across the EU. Its aim is to continuously update its members on research findings, provide life-long learning, act as a networking hub for other medical factions, and as an informative portal for the general public.

There is an abundance of material available in the ECOSEP website, targeting the medical experts. Apart from the wealth of articles, the material is also being very frequently updated.  Scientific articles are written and submitted by respected medical professionals, which then become available to registered ECOSEP members through the website.

From a design perspective, we aimed to associate the website with a serious and professional feel, without forcing it to be tiresome and bland. At the same time, we placed a lot of importance in making the website extremely readable and friendly to navigate and access, as it holds a large quantity of text available to read.

From a functionality and services perspective, we developed a registration system exclusively for ECOSEP and medical professionals. The custom registration system allows the creation of a highly detailed profile that must be completed by each candidate member.  Registration in the ECOSEP website is allowed only to doctors, and sports/exercise doctors specifically. This means that all prospective registrants must be accepted by ECOSEP first. Following acceptance, the new registrant can pay the society dues by using a variety of payments, such as credit cards and bank transfer.

Together with the website design, we applied a Search Engine Optimization strategy to improve the college’s position in Search Engine ranks. We also designed a Newsletters Campaign in order to promote the College’s activities.

The ECOSEP website was developed with the use of our in-house Content Management System (Genesis CMS). Through Genesis, our partners at ECOSEP elected to take full control of their website content, registered users and available methods of payment.

We worked with ECOSEP again, on the design of their corporate logo.
