Total Eclipse Website Design

Total Eclipse, a subsidiary of Zefxis, is a game development company, designing and producing entertaining games for the international market. The Total Eclipse site is a big portal to casual games, the kind of games the company produces.

It is also a modern electronic store. The visitors can browse among over 150 game titles and purchase them by using many standard methods of electronic payment (major credit cards, PayPal, wire transfer, or U.S. bank deposit). As a result, Total Eclipse’s e-shop serves customers from around the world.

Each game is presented with screenshots, a story and gameplay description as well as technical characteristics. The games are categorized according to their genre, (i.e. Action, Adventure, Simulation) or their platform (PC & Mac).  All of the titles have a downloadable trial version which usually offers 60 minutes of playtime to the prospective buyer. After the time limit expires, the player can opt to purchase the game if so wished.  Of course, all games developed by Total Eclipse are also available to either try for free, or purchase, from the site.

From a design point of view, we wanted to immerse our website visitors into a different world, where games dominate. We used intense colours andbreath-taking illustrations from our Total Eclipse published titles. Lastly, we placed great emphasis on the presentations of all games as well as the flexibility and ease of the purchasing process.

We also took full responsibility of Total Eclipse’s website promotion through our Search Engine Optimization strategies. It is not a secret that competition in the game development field is very tough, especially when confronted with an international level. The promotional results were excellent and Total Eclipse observed a high increase in incoming visitors

The E-shop was implemented by using our in-house Content Management System (Genesis CMS) and uses  the Plimus platform.
