Genesis CMS

The Genesis Content Management System (CMS) is a software kit developed by us at Zefxis. Its main purpose is to let you, the customer, maintain and update the content of your website quickly and with minimal effort.

What is “Content Management” all about?

When a website needs to be updated quite often, the use of a Content Management System (CMS) will greatly benefit you.  It is a system with which you will have total control over your content, 24/7.

This means you could add, remove, and edit text, photographs, e-shop items and various other elements, wherever you are, when you want, with no interference from our part.

Genesis CMS was designed and developed for this task. By using Genesis you can adjust your content any way you like, saving yourself effort, time and, of course, money.

An abundance of features

We have equipped Genesis with nifty features that you’ll find useful when keeping your website, or e-shop,updated. Listing all of them would probably take ages, so here are the most important:

• Add/Remove/Edit Text, Images and various other files, such as PDF documents, movies, sound clips, etc.
• Add/Remove/Edit Webpages, Products, and Product Categories
• Add/Remove/Edit links in the primary or secondary navigation menu.
• Secure access to the Genesis Contro Panel wherever you are, at any time of the day.  The only thing required? A computer and Internet access.
• A working environment which strongly resembles the familiar Windows user interface. So, you don’t need any special knowledge from the get-go.
• Access your editable areas with different ways. For example, you can edit your text directly from the web page without going through the Control Panel.
• Mass copy or move elements, i.e. text documents, to different locations around your website.
• Multiple object selection.
• Multiple concurrent file uploads i.e. a number of documents, or a single compressed file containing images (yes, it can be automatically extracted in your server)
• Manage your users and their permissions.
• Production of clean and transparent XHTML code for each single webpage with no interference from our part.
• Capability of custom module implementation. We can adapt and extend Genesis with specialised features targeting your project- specific requirements.

Optimisation for Search Engines

Years of accumulated technical knowledge and experience has enabled us to fine-tune and tweak Genesis to a great extent. Content added through Genesis is absolutely Search-Engine friendly and gives outstanding results in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) implementations.  Why? Two main reasons:

• Code produced by the Genesis CMS is 100% compliant with Web Standards and follows the specifications of XHTML 1.0 Strict & CSS 2.1. In other words, we follow industry-wide accepted guidelines, and stick to them, tooth and nail.

Ongoing development and rich, customized, modules

Like all good software products, Genesis evolves and becomes better through time. We are continuously mapping customer requirements and keep Genesis updated by adding new technical features and services or upgrading existing ones. We can safely say that Genesis offers a complete product to be used as is within the greater majority of projects.

Before you start using Genesis, we will offer you free training, the duration depending on the features package that you have selected. We are confident you will be able to use it from the following day with no interference from our part.

We are also throwing in a series of ‘how to’ videos which show how to execute some basic actions in Genesis. These are for your own perusal, to be watched whenever you feel you are in need of some assistance.   Of course, we are always at hand to provide telephone support, if so required.
